warning

The desktop app is in development and not released yet. You can't download it, and this page may change before it ships.

The desktop app is Clamshell for macOS, Windows and Linux. You use it with a controller or a keyboard, and it has the same layouts, menus and themes as Android.

What's different from Android

  • Emulators: to choose an emulator for a system, open Settings › Systems and choose the

system. Enter the command that starts your emulator, with %ROM% where the game's file goes.

  • Steam: Settings › Library › Import installed Steam games shows your installed Steam games

on Home. Add Clamshell to Steam adds Clamshell as a shortcut in Steam, so you can open it from Big Picture.

  • Keys: Settings › Library › Import keys takes the same code or .clamshell-keys file as

Android (see Art and game info). You can also type keys straight into Settings › Library.

  • RomM: sign in under Settings › Library with your server address, and a password or

pairing code. You don't need an add-on. Address away from home works the same as on Android.

  • Fullscreen: press F11, or use Settings › Screens › Fullscreen window.
